With every passing hour, Bollywood's heartthrob Shahid Kapoor's biggest day of life is drawing closer. Tomorrow, on July 7, the 34-year-old actor will tie the knot with 21-year-old Mira Rajput at bride's Chattarpur residence followed by a grand party at hotel Trident of Gurgaon.

Guests have started pouring, ensembles are all ready and media is all set to cover each and every moment of this private affair. Another couple of hours and the ‘Haider' star will have a promising hand to hold throughout his life.

The no-bling occasion seems highly inspired by Shahid's film ‘Vivaah'. Much like the film, even in his very tight regime, Shahid involved himself in each and every thing related to the event.

As has been disclosed by the wedding card designer Ravish Kapoor also, “Initially it was his family, who were involved but when the sample was shown to Shahid, he got involved regarding the changes, the colour combination, what gifts to go with it”.

The designer revealed that the ‘Haider' star was very particular about each and every detail of the card, from the fonts to the colour to the names and initials.

Starting from the exterior of the card, the designer told that he wanted to keep a logo alongside the peacock with the initials of the bride and the groom i.e. “S” and “M”.

He had kept the “S” above “M”, however, when Shahid got involved, he instructed that either both the initials should be at the same level or “M” may be placed above “S” but not vice-versa. Indeed, it showed that he did not wish to make his love feel less than the star in any sense.

Then the designer further said that it was Shahid only who decided the subtle colours – off white and turquoise - as he does not like golden. Even the peacock design was also by Shahid's choice.

To mention about the things enclosed in the card box, it was decided that honey bottles and a specific type of tea will be gifted along with the card box. Tea specifically, as Shahid's father Pankaj Kapur, is a tea connoisseur.

Another intriguing thing about the card that not many people would have noticed is the names of Shahid's parents. Unique in itself, Shahid ensured that names of both his mothers may get placed in the parent's name area. Accordingly, one can see both Neelima Azim and Supriya Pathak's name on the card.

The family also ensured that the guests may not take any troubles to get gifts for the newly weds hence, the card specifically carried towards the end – “No gifts please, blessings only”. An assured sign of simplicity indeed!

Though from their side, the hosts ensured that they may invite their guests in the most graceful manner possible and hence there were sweets of different types.

Recently, this picture was posted by Delhi-based bakery Smitten which showed the sweets arrangements made by the groom's family.

The pack carried a beautiful placard, “Smitten by love, Bitten by the marriage bug – Mira and Shahid”. After that there is date of the marriage and the type of sweets enclosed.

And this is not all, the card designer Ravish also divulged that these 500 cards are only for the occasion of the marriage event while for the reception, there would be a different card.

Since, it is being said that Bollywood celebrities will grace the reception in Mumbai; hence one can say that the other card will carry more bling than this one.
