New Delhi: However, not much of her grey shades were witnessed during her stay in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss, but actress Sana Khan surely knows how to play mind games in real life.
The ‘Jai Ho' actress has filed a complaint against media consultant Poonam Khanna alleging that she duped her of Rs 9 lacs promising that she will provide her property in slum area in Malad which will undergo redevelopment under the Slum Redevelopment Authority (SRA) scheme.
"We have registered a case against the 40-year-old media consultant," said an officer attached to the suburban Oshiwara police station.
It may be recalled that Sana Khan and her beau Ismail Khan were arrested by Amboli police officials last week under a case filed against them for assaulting a woman. This woman was none other than Poonam Khanna against whom Sana has filed the complaint for being cheated.
Now beginning of this tiff between Sana and Poonam goes like this according to former's statement recorded by police.
Sana Khan wished to invest money in property and on August 28, this year, she met Poonam Khanna who advised her to buy two separate rooms in Gudiyapada area in Malad, which is currently being redeveloped.
Khanna also told her that she had a good PR at Omkar developers in Goregaon and would help her get a room worth Rs 3 lakh. She also informed Sana that the value for each flat would be Rs 11 lakh after they are redeveloped under the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) scheme.
Under this influence Sana readied to invest Rs 9 lakh and gave that entire amount to Poonam. Days passed but Sana received no feedback from Poonam. Sooner she realized that she has been tricked. The actress asked for her money back but Poonam said ‘No' and even threatened Sana of filing a complaint against her and ever ruining her career.
Last week Poonam did the same. Sana and her boyfriend Ismail Khan's arrest was followed after she charged them with molestation and criminal intimidation.
The duo was arrested under IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
Poonam alleged that the couple on October 21 allegedly twisted her hands, touched her inappropriately and threatened her over an article which also appeared in a newspaper last week.
Sana and Ismail on their defense suspected that Khanna leaked information to the media because of which the article, which was against the two, was published in the newspaper.
Last week on Thursday, a day after the arrest, the two were taken to Andheri court and later on in the same day were granted bail.
With the fresh complaint filed by Sana, the legal battle between the two ladies seems to be getting just uglier. Let's see where it goes from here.
