New Delhi: Aadesh Srivastava, the renowned music composer and singer who passed away Friday night, will be remembered not only for his multifaceted talent but his indefatigable approach towards life as well.

Aadesh Srivastava had always been a fighter. Be it on the professional front or his one-on-one battle with the deadly cancer, 51-years-old Aadesh always displayed a ‘never-say-die' attitude.

For those who do not know much about him, he was the one who gave us hits like ‘Mora piya…' from Rajneeti (2010), ‘Suno Na Suno Na…' from Chalte Chalte (2003),  ‘Main Yahan Tu Wahan…' from Baghban (2003) and ‘Say Shava Shava…' from Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham.

He had composed music for around 100 distinct Bollywood films. He was passionate about music. He excelled both as a music composer as well as a singer.

In fact, Aadesh also composed music of the recently released film ‘Welcome Back'.

Aadesh  earned success after years of hard work. He got formal entry into the film industry in 1993 by singing a song in a film called ‘Kanyadaan', it was in 1994 that he earned recognition for his song ‘Aao Pyaar Karein' as the earlier film never got released.

After this, he never looked back and we got a series of hit numbers from him like – “Haathon Mei Aa Gya Jo Kal….”, “Salma Pe Dil Aa Gya…” and “Kya Ada Kya Jalwe Tere Paro…” followed by renowned numbers in the 1998 hit film ‘Angaaray'.

Aadesh had also judged music show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge twice. Aadesh did a cameo in a film called ‘World Cupp 2011' though he was not duly noticed in this film. He also directed a short film on child prostitution called ‘Sanaa'.

Aadesh carved a niche for himself internationally too. He had teamed up with widely famed artists like Akon, Shakira, Dominic Miller, Julia Fordham and Wyclef Jean also.

It was in 2010, that his personal battle with cancer started. The deadly disease tried to enslave him but he survived though he was left heart-broken at that time because of the indifference shown by his close ones from the industry. In simple words, nobody stood by him at that time and he had to fight his battle alone while facing financial hardships. He even had to sell off some of his assets to fight cancer.

Much later after recuperating, he returned with a vigour and started his battle again in the professional arena. And we got to hear his heart out in films like ‘Rajneeti'.

He was married to film actress and playback singer Vijayta Pandit and had two sons – Anivesh and Avitesh.

Couple of weeks before his death, the same deadly cancer bounced back and yet another battle started for Aadesh. He was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and fought bravely against the disease for 40 days. But the day after his birth date, i.e. on 5th September he breathed his last at around 12:30 AM in the night.

Stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan even visited him personally and today the entire Bollywood industry is mourning the death of the talent house called Aadesh Shrivastava!
