New Delhi: It was a big Friday with flicks from South cinema, Bollywood and Hollywood battling it out to sovereign at box office and none of them laying back.

Kochadaiiyaan, Heropanti and X-men: Days Of The Future Past enjoyed a good opening at domestic box office however, it was undoubtedly Rajinikanth starrer which took the lead.

Its companion 'Heropanti', starring debutant Tiger Shroff, would be much relieved after surviving the Rajinikanth Torando which was expected to provide a big harm to all the other flicks releasing alongside. The flick opened to a good response at box office with the collection of Rs 6.63 cr in India and it grew decently on Saturday making Rs 6.42 cr.

"#Heropanti Fri Rs 6.63 cr, Sat 6.42 cr. Total: Rs 13.05 nett. India biz. Biz expected to jump today [Sun]", tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

Directed by Soundarya, ‘Kochadaiiyaan' finally ventured into the theatres and it went on to become the biggest opener in Tamil Nadu which includes a massive fan following of the superstar.

According to a leading daily, trade analyst predicted around Rs 35 cr opening with a massive contribution by South India theatres. Though, nothing extraordinary was witnessed in other dubbed languages in North India and across the territory.

Lastly, the Hollywood release “X-men: Days Of The Future Past” capitalized over the goodwill created in last one decade. The X-Men has great fan following here in India and its two days box office collection of Rs 10.50 cr says it loud.

“#XMen Days Of Future Past witnesses good growth on Sat. Thu previews 60 lacs, Fri 4.50 cr, Sat 5.40 cr. Total: Rs 10.50 cr nett”, confirms Adarsh.
