New Delhi: Kareena, who earlier got miffed with the reports of doing an item number in Southern superstar Suriya's flick and denied knowing him, is now all praising the actor and wants to work with him.
The actress on the social networking site denied knowing Surya, as he hasn't met him but declared that she is aware of his stature.
“It is a fact that I don't know Suriya since I've never met him! But that doesn't mean I don't know who he is. Of course I do”, tweeted Kareena.
Praising the actor she wrote, “I truly respect his standing in the film industry. In fact I'm doing the sequel to Singham where he played the lead originally.”
Expressing her desire to work with him she quoted, “Suriya is tremendously talented. It'd be a pleasure and an honour to work with him in a Hindi film.”
Recently Kareena Kapoor shot a sizzling item number for Akshay Kumar's 'Gabbar' but when actress was asked to do an item number in Southern superstar's Surya's film she refused.
It was reported that she was signed for an item number in 'Ghajini' fame Surya's upcoming movie 'Anjaan'.
Currently Kareena is busy with shooting for 'Gabbar' with Akshay Kumar and 'Singham 2' with Ajay Devgan. In 'Gabbar', Kareena Kapoor essays the role of Akshay's dead wife, the role that is very similar to that of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 'Mohabbatein'.
