New Delhi: The reprised version of the song ‘Dheere Dheere' starring actors Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor was released on 31st August.

Since its release, the song has been making waves. The video saw the romantic shade of singer Honey Singh. The chemistry of Hrithik and Sonam was also well received and fans have expressed the desire of seeing them in a movie together.

But, why did superstar Hrithik Roshan agree to work on this project? For a star of his stature he could have declined being part of the remake of a song which, though it ruled the charts when it was released, was forgotten with time.

It turns out that Hrithik signed up for the song because of the late Gulshan Kumar.

In an exclusive interview to India TV, T- Series chief Bhushan Kumar, son of Gulshan Kumar revealed that he wanted to revive the song as a token of remembrance for his father. When he approached Hrithik to feature in the song, he said that the song was his father's favourite and he wanted to take on this project just for him.

Hrithik, who himself shares a very special bond with his father, Rakesh Roshan, was moved by this gesture of Bhushan and gave his nod to the song. It goes without saying that the stars of today don't want the legacy of their fathers to be forgotten.
