New Delhi: Bollywood has time to time experimented with its subject, depiction and projection of any cinema.

In past cinema used to be innocent and filmmakers weren't technically sharp. But now, films are technically strong and such movies have even become mainstream. Indian cinema is experimenting with subjects.

Films like Vicky Donor and Inkaar have discussed those issues, which we never thought of bringing on the silver screen. The society has opened up now. Issues about a person's sexuality are coming out of the closet.

People are ready to acknowledge it and address it. Relevant issues are being talked about in films, which is making Indian cinema bolder and bigger.

If we talk about the most recent film to be released, 'Finding Fanny', the movie is neither an off-beat cinema nor a typical masala film. But it is a perfect blend of portraying a certain issue in an entertaining manner.

It is not the usual fare of typical Bollywood song and dance but it's a pretty universal story about love and longing told in different way. It explores absurdist humour. The characters do not react to situations the way one would normally expect them to.

It is not just that the theme of Bollywood movies is changing but even people have started accepting such movies.

Not the subject or cast in fact the languages used in Bollywood are taking a U-turn. Now the makers are not hesitant about using other languages in their film.

When it comes to stars even they are not skeptical on doing such roles. Else they feel that the movie will add gems to their career. Many famous actors and actresses have opted for darker shade roles at the peak of their career.

Film like ‘Haider' till now seems a darker and intense depiction of a sensitive issue but with a correct flavour of entertainment in it. The final verdict is yet to come but we are sure Vishal Bhardwaj will have something unusual to serve his audience.

The audience now-a-days is not reluctant about a film based on some intense subject. Their acceptance to such cinema has made things easier for makers and stars.

They are ready to come up with such cinemas, which can highlight the issues related to our society.

'Gulaab Gang' is one of the best examples to show the change in Indian cinema. The film was based on a real life personality and the initiative started by her.

The depiction of the movie was engaging, which helped the common people to know about issue without watching a typical 'off-beat' film, which often considered as dark and deep.

The overwhelming response, which 'Finding Fanny' trailer and songs have received, it shows that Indian audience is whole heartedly ready to accept a new level of Bollywood cinema.
