New Delhi: Ek Villain is now the fourth flick to hit the ton with Rs 101.32 cr in two weeks joining 2 States, Holiday- A Soldier Is Never Off Duty and Jai Ho.

The flick on the last day of week 2 made Rs 1.74 cr there taking the to the Rs 100 cr club.

“EkVillain [Week 2] Mon 2.50 cr, Tue 2.20 cr, Wed 2 cr, Thu 1.74 cr. Grand total: Rs 101.32 cr nett. India biz. BLOCKBUSTER”, tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

The musical revenge saga is the first solo Rs 100 cr flick for Sidharth Malhotra, second for Mohit Suri-Shraddha Kapoor while Riteish Deshmukh has hit a hat-trick after Housefull 2 and Grand Masti in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

“And it's a hat-trick for Riteish Deshmukh in Rs 100 cr Club: #Housefull2 in 2012, #GrandMasti in 2013 and now, #EkVillain in 2014”, writes Adarsh.

Ek Villain, which is largely inspired by Korean flick ‘I Saw The Devil', has collected almost triple of its production cost of Rs 35 cr. Anything adding to this in the coming days will be brilliant.

Last week's release Bobby Jasoos did win hearts but couldn't turn into box office success. In one week the Vidya Balan starrer could only garner Rs 10.85 cr nett in India.

“BobbyJasoos Fri 1.79 cr, Sat 2.62 cr, Sun 3.27 cr, Mon 92 lacs, Tue 87 lacs, Wed 75 lacs, Thu 61 lacs. Total: Rs 10.85 cr nett. India biz”, confirms Adarsh.

The situation is going to get worse for it, since Alia Bhatt-Varun Dhawan's ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' has hit the road. The flick has released in 2200 screens in domestic market while the number goes to 375 in international market.

Shashank Khaitan directorial debut has given Varun Dhawan a bigger start in UAE-GCC than his ‘Main Tera Hero' collecting Rs 63.11 lacs on Thursday.

“HumptySharmaKiDulhania embarks on a BIGGER start than #MainTeraHero in UAE-GCC. Collects approx $ 105,000 [Rs 63.11 lacs] on Thu”, confirms Adarsh.

In India the flick has opened to a decent response with 50-60% occupancy in theatres while the evening and the night shows are expected to witness good footfalls. The weekend business is expected to grow.
