New Delhi: Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor starrer has not only crossed Rs 50 cr mark in less than a week time but also has beaten the grand total of earlier releases namely Main Tera Hero, Ragini MMS 2 and Bhootnath Returns at box office.


The Abhishek Varman directorial after a brilliant weekend (Rs 38.26 cr) carried a good momentum in the weekdays collecting over Rs 17 cr with still one day to go, making the six day collection to Rs 55 cr in India.



According to a leading daily, on Monday the flick collected Rs 6.17 cr, followed by Tuesday and Wednesday earnings of Rs 5.80 cr and 5.60 cr respectively in India.

The earlier hits like Main Tera Hero, Ragini MMS 2 and Bhootnath Returns' grand total is behind 2 States six day collection.

While Balaji Motions' Main Tera Hero and Ragini MMS 2 have a collection of Rs 47 cr and Rs 47.10 cr respectively, Bhoothnath Returns which is still running in theatres has made Rs 28 cr till now.



Within one week, ‘2 States' is expected to earn over Rs 60 cr while further its business will depend upon the newer releases namely Kaanchi and Revovler Rani.

Jai Ho takes the first spot with Rs 111 cr at box office while Gunday takes the second position with lifetime collection of Rs 76.55 cr in India.
