Sanjay Dutt visited ‘father’ Vinod Khanna weeks before his demise

Actor Sanjay Dutt, who has recently completed the shoot of his comeback film Bhoomi reportedly visited the hospital to meet late Vinod Khanna few weeks prior to his death. Vinod died yesterday after suffering from prolonged illness.

Sanjay Dutt visited ‘father’ Vinod Khanna weeks before his demise

Actor Sanjay Dutt, who has recently completed the shoot of his comeback film Bhoomi reportedly visited the hospital to meet late Vinod Khanna few weeks prior to his death. Vinod died yesterday after suffering from prolonged illness.

If reports are to be believed then Sanjay along with Bhoomi producer Sandeep Singh went to meet with the veteran actor. Sandeep revealed to a leading daily that the actor considers Vinod his father.

Few people were allowed to meet Vinod and it was reportedly after the veteran actor’s request to meet Sanjay, the hospital authorities allowed him to meet the actor.

Sanjay recently said in a statement that he grew up watching Vinod Khanna and it was very saddening to hear of his demise. He added that the veteran actor will always be family to Dutt’s.

The funeral of Vinod took place at the Banganga Crematorium in Worli and it was attended by many Bollywood celebs. Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Kabir Bedi attended the funeral.

Few months back, a picture of ailing Vinod started doing rounds on social media. After which his wife, Kavita requested people to stop sharing his picture.

Vinod started his career with Mann Ke Meet and after giving series of hits, he stayed away from films for five years at the peak of his career and joined the ashram of Osho in Rajneeshpuram.

 Bhoomi also stars Aditi Rao Hydari. The movie is slated to release on September 22.
