Actress Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming Hollywood film Baywatch has been cleared by CBFC with an A certificate and five cuts. Reports suggested that no bikini shots have been cut from the film. CBFC has recommended four verbal and one visual cuts.
As per a report of a leading daily, CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani stated that there was no point chopping bikini scenes from the film as people in India have seen the series for years. He added that such shots are not a big deal and now Indian filmmakers should stop making it a big issue.
Nihalani went on to say that Baywatch has many cuss words and filthy language but only those portions were asked to remove where bad language was unnecessary. He further added that A certificate is granted to the film not only because of bikini scenes but for the language as well.
PeeCee will be seen playing the role of an antagonist Victoria Leeds in the film. Her chemistry with Dwayne Johnson has already become talk of the town. The trailers of the film are liked by the audiences.
Along with Priyanka, Baywatch also features Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Ilfenesh Hadera and Jon Bass. The movie is slated to release on May 25. In India, the film will hit the screens on June 2.
