The filmmakers of Sridevi-starrer ‘Mom’ has released the trailer today. And what we saw in a 2-minute clipping is something that blew our mind away. Sridevi will be seen in a Bollywood flick after a gap of five years. And it is evident that the elegant actress has taken a lot of time to pick a perfect project for herself. Zee Studios released the trailer of 'Mom' on their official YouTube channel as well as on their Twitter account. In less than an hour, the trailer became a sensation on the micro-blogging website. Here’s our take on it.

With the very first scene of the trailer, the filmmaker manages to create a vibe of thrill among the viewers. Sridevi can be seen putting a question for the audience, “Galat aur bohot galat me se koi ek chun na ho, toh aap kise chunenge?” (What will you choose among wrong or very wrong?). This question left us wondering and also gave us a clue that the story revolves around a mother, who fails to have a cordial relationship with her teenage daughter. But wait, its not another mother-daughter story. Ravi Udyavar has gambled flawlessly in the genre of thriller and suspense in the trailer. It manages to raise many hair, but without revealing much about the storyline.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui can be seen in a never-before avatar as Dayashankar Kapoor or DK in short. He claims to prophesise people’s future from their ashes. Akshaye Khanna can be seen as a baddie yet again after his last venture ‘Dishoom’. The background score of the trailer sounds riveting and manages to create an air of suspense for a couple of minutes.

What will Devki (Sridevi) choose? The bad or evil? Will she ever be able to reclaim her daughter? To know this, you have to watch ‘Mom’ on July 6 in theatres.
