The new advertisement of fashion brand Jack & Jones featuring Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was criticised by many due to its controversial statement on women. Now, the brand has not only pulled down the advertisement but has also apologized for the same.
The Danish fashion brand’s official twitter handle said, “Regret that one of our billboards has caused distress, we did not intend to offend anyone. #NOTHOLDINGBACK and withdrawing it immediately.”

The advertisement showed Ranveer carrying a girl on his shoulder with a caption, “Don’t Hold Back, Take Your Work Home.”
Vineet Gautam, who is the country head of Bestseller India that owns Jack & Jones, stated that they didn’t intent to offend anyone with the billboard of their present campaign and they had discontinued it immediately.
Vineet said, “As a progressive brand that is loved by youth the world over, we take our responsibility of always being respectful, as seriously as we do our bold attitude. We regret that a billboard of our current campaign has caused people distress.”
The advertisement was not only slammed by social media users but famous Tamil actor Siddharth also voiced his opinion on it. He thought that the advertisement was derogatory. He tweeted, “A new low for women's rights in the workplace in India. What were they thinking? #Fail”
Now, that the company has accepted its fault, it seems that the controversy will settle down soon. However, Ranveer’s reaction on the same is still awaited.
