Looks like Bollywood will soon see a sequelof the hit movie 2000 ‘Dhadkan’. Rumours have it that makers are keen to make a sequel to the movie with a fresh script.

The romantic flick revolved around a love triangle of characters of Suniel Shetty, Shilpa Shetty and Akshay Kumar and it was also considered as one of the landmark movies in their career.

In this Dharmesh Dasrhan directorial, Shilpa played the role of Anjali who is forced to marry Ram (Akshay Kumar) as her father doesn’t approve of her affair with Dev (Suniel Shetty). What follows is a journey where Anjali falls in love with Ram and Dev tries all he can to bring her back to his life.

The movie won critical acclaim and also did well at the box office. It became the fourth highest grosser of 2000 and got Suniel the Filmfare award for best villain.

For a while now grapevine is abuzz that this movie will see a sequel. But speculations withered off with time.

Only this time, the news comes with some weight. Reportedly, Shraddha Kapoor has been finalised for Dhadkan 2. Reports also have it that Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and one movie old Sooraj Pancholi, have been roped in for this sequel.

An official confirmation in this regard is awaited.
