New Delhi: Post her break-up with actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Ankita Lokhande has managed to remain in limelight for some or the other reason.
While everyone was speculating about the reason behind her split and expected her to be depressed, the actress amazed everyone with her new and bold avatar.
Soon the reports of her big Bollywood debut started doing the rounds.
It was reported that Ankita will make her big screen debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next movie ‘Padmavati’.
According to the media reports, initially Bhansali was considering to cast Deepika Padukone in the movie, however, he zeroed in on Ankita after things didn’t work with ‘Tamasha’ actress.
But looks like these too turned out to be mere rumours as Ankita’s spokesperson has vehemently denied the reports.
“Ankita has not been signed for the film. Hope this puts an end to the speculation,” her spokesperson reportedly told an entertainment portal.
‘Padmavati’ is said to be a periodical drama based on the love story of a ruthless ruler Alauddin Khilji, who loses his heart to Mewar’s Rani Padmavati.
The film is expected to hit theatres in December 2017.
