Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly been roped in to play the lead in Sairat director Nagraj Manjule’s debut Bollywood project. If reports are to be believed, the ace director took a year-and-a-half to write the script of the film that is touted to be a social drama. Speculations are rife that Big B’s character will have grey shades in the flick. The shooting of the Nagraj’s directorial venture is likely to start by the end of this year.

This is known to all that Nagraj is a fantastic director, who was behind the immense success of Sairat, the movie that was termed as Marathi blockbuster by many movie buffs. In fact, Big B himself applauded the film on social media.

The director is also a huge fan of the star. During an event, the ace filmmaker revealed that he chose filmmaking because of Mr. Bachchan. It will be interesting to watch two talented stars teaming up for a project. However, official conformation on the same is still awaited.

Amitabh is currently busy with the work of Thugs of Hindostan alongside Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif. Her will also be seen playing the role of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor’s father in 102 Not Out.
