It is a common notion that families of movie personalities in nothing like a normal one. This myth around the quintessential Bollywood family was busted by actor Ajay Devgn. Despite having two well-established actors in the family, Ajay said that they are ‘typical middle class’.

While speaking to a daily, Ajay said that being a middle class family works for him. Ajay wed actress Kajol in 1999 and have two kids, Nysa (13) and Yug (6). Ajay revealed that despite the stardom which comes with the parents, the kids are fed with morals of a middle class family.

Ajay, who is awaiting release of his upcoming movie ‘Shivaay’, said that many times Kajol and he don’t approve of few things about their kids. The children then go to Ajay’s mother Veena Devgan.

“We live like a typical middle-class family, and I like those morals,” said the actor.

He said that such a genre doesn’t go with his image and he is best away from them. However, he said this thought of his should not stop other people from doing it.

“Such movies don’t go with my image. But I’m not saying other actors shouldn’t do such films,” he added.

Revealing why he put his money on Radhika Apte-starrer ‘Parched’, Ajay said because no one did. He said that movies like those are not made because people don’t watch it.

“Why don’t you (the audience) watch such movies more often,” questioned Ajay Devgn.

He also added that if the role is good he has no qualms in acting in women centric movies like he acted in 2001 movie ‘Lajja’.
