Ahead of the release of actor Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Jolly LLB 2’ the film fell into a legal trouble. The Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court has ordered to remove four objectionable scenes from the film.
It all started with when a practising sessions court lawyer Ajaykumar Waghmare filed a petition alleging that the film was maligning the reputation of Indian legal profession.
Now, Bombay HC has asked to delete four seasons. One among them is scarred judge hiding himself under the table. The three-member committee formed by the court to review the film found that there were scenes and dialogues that were maligning the image of the Indian Judiciary and the legal fraternity.
Waghmare previously said that in the trailer, characters of the film were seen jumping here, and there in the court and thus, he wanted the makers to delete those scenes from the movie. He also demanded to remove ‘LLB’ from the title of the film.
The makers of the film may approach Supreme Court against the decision. Previously, SC has sent back the movie to HC for review. Now the fate of Akshay’s film will be decided in coming days.
‘Jolly LLB 2’ is the sequel of 2013 film ‘Jolly LLB’ that features actress Huma Qureshi opposite Akshay. The flick is slated to release on February 10.
