After Ram Rahim's conviction, Alia Bhatt and Raazi team stuck in Patiala hotel, claims report

Actress Alia Bhatt will be seen sharing the screen space with actor Vicky Kaushal in Raazi.

Actress Alia Bhatt, who was busy with the work of her upcoming film Raazi in Patiala was reportedly stuck in a hotel as the shooting of the movie was suspended after the Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim was found guilty in rape case. This is known to all that after the verdict, things became difficult due to sudden protests and the unpleasant circumstances created by the self-proclaimed Godman’s followers. Thus, fearing from these situations, the shoot of the film was cancelled. (Ram Rahim Sentencing Live Updates)

A source revealed to a leading daily that the team had to shoot at different locations in the city and looking at the high alert in the state, the team didn’t want any untoward incident. Thus, director Meghna Gulzar cancelled the shoot. So, they were in the hotel over the weekend. It is also being heard that the director and the crew had a meeting in which it was decided to put off the shoot till Monday.

The Dera Sacha Sauda chief will be sentenced today.

If reports are to be believed, the Patiala leg of Raazi’s shoot was scheduled to wrap up on September 10. After which another schedule had to be started in Chandigarh.  

 

Raazi is based on the spy novel Calling Sehmat. Along with Alia, the film also features Vicky Kaushal. The movie is all set to hit the screens in May 2018.
