Shafqat Amanat Ali slams Adnan Sami for supporting surgical strikes

Two Pakistani singers Adnan Sami and Shafqat Amanat Ali who work and perform in India have contradictory views on the surgical strikes carried by the Indian army at terror pads in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Completely disagreeing with Adnan’s anti- Pak stand his contemporary Shafqat Amanat Ali said that Pakistan doesn’t sponsor terrorism.

Shafqat during an interview to a leading news channel said that Adnan, who is now an Indian citizen, has lost his brain along with his fat when asked to comment over the burning issue.

Notably, singer Adnan Sami had earlier said that Pakistan should be thankful to India for clearing the ‘terror’ mess they couldn’t.

But Shafqat said Adnan can not say that Pakistani army or the government sponsors terror.

When the ‘Mitwa’ hitmaker was told that Adnan was being hailed in India for his strong support for surgical strikes, Shafqat was quick to say,

“He is not my hero. He is the hero of ones spreading terror.”

Further, Shafqat defended his country and army, saying that Pakistan can not be held responsible for any kind of terrorist activity that happens on Indian Territory. He said that Pakistan has been for long a victim of terrorism and they fight against it on a daily basis.

“We, the people of Pakistan are fighting against terrorism,” said Shafqat.

Shafqat was scheduled to perform in Bangalore on September 30, but his concert was cancelled following the Uri attacks.

Speaking on this, the singer said it is unfortunate adding that through art the two countries can indulge in dialogue.

“It’s really sad because the artiste fraternity allows an opportunity of dialogue between two countries,” he added.
