CBSE UGC NET Exam 2017 Notifications: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a detailed notification for University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) November 2017 today.

The candidates who desire to appear in the test may see the detailed notification available on the website: www.cbsenet.nic.in, from today. The online registration for UGC NET November 2017 will start from August 1 and the last date to apply has scheduled August 30.

“It is notified that CBSE will conduct the next UGC-NET for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor on 05th November, 2017 (Sunday). The candidates who desire to appear in the test may see the detailed notification available on the website http://cbsenet.nic.in from 24th July, 2017,” read a short notification published on the CBSE NET official website.

CBSE conducts UGC NET for testing the eligibility of candidates for the positions of Assistant Professor only or for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and colleges.

After the UGC NET, candidates who qualify for the JRF are eligible to pursue research in the main subject of their post-graduation degree or in any other related subject. These candidates will also be eligible for Assistant Professor posts.

Last week, Minister of State for HRD Mahendra Nath said that CBSE will continue to conduct the NET for the post graduate students to make them eligible for assistant professor or JRF in universities.

“As per directions of the Ministry of HRD, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been conducting the National Eligibility Test (NET) examination. There is no proposal under consideration at present to entrust responsibility of conducting the exam through any other mechanism,” he had said.
