New Delhi: A ward boy of a civic-run hospital in Mumbai was arrested for molesting a minor girl.

According to the 16-yr old victim, who suffers from asthma, she went to the Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital, Kandivali West, went to collect her antibiotics.

The accused stopped her mid way and took her to an empty room on the pretext of getting the dosage faster.

It was then that he started touching her wrongly, after which the victim got terrified and escaped from the room.

Later she narrated the incident to her family, who reached the hospital and nabbed the accused, after which the matter was reported to the police and the accused was arrested by the police.

A case was registered against the accused ward boy provisions of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. He will be produced before a magistrate court tomorrow.
