India TV: What had happened that day with you while travelling in the cab?

Nidhi: When I was sitting inside the taxi, Shiv Kumar was staring at me through the rear mirror. He was also smiling very weirdly.

India TV: He was staring at you when you were sitting inside the car?

Nidhi: Yes, he was passing very unusual smile.

India TV: What was your reaction, who you realised after this and what was his intention?

Nidhi: Definitely, I was feeling very bad and I realised he could have spoken or done anything... And he was unaware that I was noticing his activities. He also told me that he can do anything.

India TV: What you wrote in your complaint?

Nidhi: I had written that he was staring at me with bad intentions.

After Uber's name figured in the case, I thought about the same person and when I checked news thoroughly, I realised that he is the same driver, Nidhi said, adding that ‘when this incident happened with me, I thought this happens in India but now it has shaken me'.

It has now emerged that Shiv was a habitual sex offender with multiple charges of rape, attempted rape and molestation lodged against him. He was arrested twice for rape in 2011 and 2013.
