Uber rape case: Accused driver brandished rod and threatened the victim to repeat the horror of Dec 16

New Delhi: Uber rape case accused  Shiv Kumar Yadav, has made shocking revelations to police during his interrogation.

According to police, Yadav narrated the entire sequence of the brutal incident and said  he had brandished an iron rod and threatened the lady to repeat December 16, 2012, horror if she dared to shout or resist.

The 32-year-old accused, a native of village Ramnagar in Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh, confessed that he had punched the lady before raping her and threatened to hurt her by repeating the act similar to the December 16.

The Uber cabbie in his confession before the Delhi Police said that he had bitten the lady to make her realize he can dare to repeat the horrifying act.

He slapped her, police said, when the victim tried to grunt seeking to call people for help.

The medical report has also confirmed that marks on her body are result of Shiv Kumar's assaults.

He had punched her on face and tried to kill the 27-year-old victim lady by strangling her.

He revealed that the lady slept soon after boarding the cab and thus he drove on and parked the car at a deserted place, 4 km ahead of the destination in north Delhi's Inderlok area.

Police said that the rape accused had parked the car near a park in the Inderlok- Keshav Puram vicinity.

The accused after committing rape, dropped the victim near her home in Inderlok and threatened to kill if she revealed the matter to anybody, police said.

He later took the victim's mobile and dialed his own number saying ‘I have saved your number in my phone and if you dare to tell anyone including police, I won't spare you'.

The brave lady undeterred by the threats, took the picture of the cab. She later texted one of her nearest friend in which she had written – ‘Mera sath balatkaar hua hai (I have been raped)'.
