The chargesheet mentions how this money was offered to police to help Narayan Sai in the sexual assault case.
Narayan Sai and his associates are presently in Surat jail in the sexual assault complaint made by two sisters, who had stayed in his ashram.
The chargesheet says, Rs 8 crore was paid on behalf of Narayan Sai and his sadhikas to "weaken" the case.
Narayan Sai, 42-year-old son of Asaram is accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting one of the two sisters, who was the inmate of his ashram here, between 2002 and 2005.
It was during Sai's earlier remand period (in connection with the rape case) that the city crime branch had unearthed a plan to bribe cops, doctors and even judicial officers to dilute the rape case.
Police had arrested six persons, including a sub-inspector C K Kumbhani, and seized Rs 5 crore in cash from various persons.
