Chandigarh: A 46-year-old man shot twice at his 72-year-old father over property dispute in Chandigarh's Sector 36.
The incident took place on Sunday afternoon when accused Harminder Singh shot at his father Keshar Singh after entering into a heated argument.
Keshar Singh, a retired chief engineer of Punjab Mandi Board, was rushed to the nearest hospital by his granddaughter for medical assistance where victim's condition is said to be stable now.
According to police, accused had used the licenced revolver to commit the crime.
A .32 bore pistol has been recovered from Harminder's possession, police said.
Police has arrested Harminder and filed a case of attempt to murder against him.
Police said that the son was at loggerheads with his father over a property worth Rs 200 crore.
