Though the incident happened three days back, neighbours noticed it on Wednesday when foul smell came out of the flat.
A 36-year-old Manish Sahu, a senior executive at a software company had come to Hyderabad three years ago from Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district. He had been staying at a flat in Madhapur.
Manish Sao and his wife Swetha reportedly were not having good relationship and it is suspected that he killed his wife and his five-year-old son and later committed suicide by hanging himself on Sunday night.
The incident came to light only on Wednesday when one of Manish's colleagues came to the house to check on him, as he had not been responding to calls from his office.
As no one opened the door, the man alerted other apartment dwellers, who, in turn, informed the police.
Police broke open the door and found Manish hanging to the ceiling, while the bodies of his wife and child were lying in the bedroom in a decomposed state.
“Only after a post-mortem examination, can we tell the exact cause of the death of the woman and child,” the official added.
