The five - Prashant Jha, Sushant, Rahul Lama, Ranvijay and Armaan Ali -were arrested for raping Priyanka (name changed) in Rambha apartment on June 14. The youngsters had filmed the act.
Patna police says, all of them now want to marry the minor schoolgirl.
“During interrogation, they felt ashamed of their act and repented before they were produced in court,” a police officer said.
Police said that a month after the incident, the accused had visited a cybercafé near their school to get a CD made of the clippings so they could allegedly blackmail the victim in the future. The cybercafé owner has also been arrested.
Three of the accused have been sent to Beur Model Central Jail in Patna while the other two were sent to a remand home in Patna City.
Patna SSP Amrit Raj said the police are waiting for Priyanka's final medical report.
The accused are from different backgrounds.
Prashant, said to be Priyanka's boyfriend, is the son of an upper division clerk working in the Central Public Works Department ( CPWD), while Armaan's father works as a guard at the meteorological office.
Ranvijay's father sells flowers near a temple, while Rahul's father is a bus conductor with the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation.
Sushant, at whose flat the gangrape was committed, is the son of an engineer working in Jharkhand.
The main accused Prashant had surrendered in Shimla last week and the police caught Rahul from Jalandhar, where he had fled after the incident became public.
Armaan was taken into custody from his native place in Saran district.
Ranvijay surrendered in court in Patna, while Sushant was giving a live interview on a local television channel when the police whisked him away for questioning.
The police are now on the lookout for Sushant's domestic help Dinesh alias Sourabh, who was also allegedly involved in the crime.
