Hyderabad: An anonymous caller called a lady on her phone while she was at her work at Gachibowli. The caller requested her to switch off  cell for about half-an-hour saying it was being updated to 3G.

The lady  believed it to be a technical update and switched off her phone before entering into a meeting room. After half an hour she got suspicious and switched on her phone. She then found 20 missed calls from family members and messages asking her whereabouts.

Worried she called home to find that someone had called her parents and asked for ransom money.

Being worried and upset, she alerted her friends and relatives of these pranks being carried out and asked them to be very careful.
