Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police today busted an alleged prostitution racket which was being operated from a house in Vijayapuri Colony and rescued three Bangladeshi women.

Police also arrested the alleged kingpin Mohd Jabbar, also a Bangladeshi national.

Special Operation Team sleuths raided the house, under Uppal police station limits, and nabbed Jabbar who was running the racket after getting three women from Bangladesh, they said.

Jabbar had come to India around seven years ago and was “illegally” staying in the country, SOT Inspector Pushpa Kumar said, adding that no passports were found from Jabbar and the women.

“Jabbar had prepared fake documents and was staying illegally in the country,” the police officer said.

A case was registered under sections of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA) against Jabbar, the Inspector said, adding that they will be produced before a court tomorrow.
