Mumbai: Beware! Make sure there is no sniffer dog barking at you as police could arrest you on that basis taking the dog's bark as an evidence. It is not a funny remark. In reality, a man named  Rajaram Babar had to cool his heels inside jail for 10 long years because of a police sniffer dog's bark.

Rajaram Babar, resident of Solapur was arrested by Mumbai police in a case of double murder in September 2004.

The bodies of one Subhadrabai and her paramour Nivrutti were found lying in front of their house. Police investigations revealed that there was a dispute between Babar and Subhadrabai over laying of pipes.

Taking their investigation ahead, police brought a dog squad and made the sniffer dog smell some blood stained stones at the site of murder.

The sniffer dog then went up to  Babbar who was present at the spot and barked at him.
