New Delhi: The New Okhla Industrial Development Area or better known as Noida has given shelter to many educational institutes, many shopping malls and many multi-national companies. Noida was developed into a plush green city from a barren land full of wood carpenters.

But amidst the growing development and gleam of lights are lost the dark roads of an urban village called Nithari. But in 2006 this village suddenly gathered all media attention and came into the notice of general public. Sadly, what brought this village into light was a ``monster house'' located in sector-31. The road at the back-side of this White house leads to Nithari village.

In December 2006, after many children went missing from the village, two residents claimed that they had seen human remains in the drain behind the house.

The case gradually unfolded and turned out to be one of the most horrific serial killings in the history. Numerous missing people's reports had been filed by the parents who had not seen their children for many days. The victimized parents claimed that there complaints were not taken seriously by the police.

After children kept disappearing for 2 years, residents of Nithari village claimed to have seen human remains in the drain at the back side of house number D-5 in sector-31.

Surender Koli, who worked as a servant in the house was suspected in connection with the disappearance of the kids from the village. The villagers whose voice was unheard by the authorities, took assistance from RWA President SC Mishra. The tank drain was searched and according to one the two residents who were present there, a decomposed human hand was found in the drain. Police was immediately informed after this.

However, according to the residents of Nithari village police provided them no proper assistance as the owner of the house, Moninder Singh Pandher, was a wealthy and powerful man. He bribed the policemen involved and escaped probe.
