Mumbai: A security guard from a residential building has been arrested by Juhu police yesterday, after a postwoman alleged that he had tried to molest and rape her. The victim postwoman had gone to deliver a letter at Nandadeep building yesterday afternoon, in Juhu.

While she noticed that the guard was following her,  the postwoman didn't enter the lift even though she had to go to the seventh storey. But the security guard grabbed her by the arm and waist, and dragged her into the lift. On the way up to the seventh floor, he tried to molest and rape her. When the lift's doors opened on the 7th floor he held her arm so that  she couldn't escape but the victim managed to break free herself somehow and ran down the stairs.

She stopped midway of the building and asked for help from one of the residents. Together they raised an alarm where most of the residents gathered. Meanwhile, the victim called her colleague who was in the neighbourhood. The colleague rushed to the building and then called the police.
