The victim's dead body, which was recovered on Monday, has been identified as 25-year-old Aman.
Police said that Aman was stabbed by a knife repeatedly leading to his death.
According to the family members of the deceased man, the victim had gone missing on August 24 and subsequently a complaint was filed with the police.
Police also said that the case could be of an affair which led to his brutal murder.
After the completion of autopsy, police handed over the dead body to Aman's relatives.
Irate over the inaction by police, relatives of Aman, while demanding a thorough investigation into the case, protested at the Pataudi Chowk with the dead body.
As soon as the police learnt about the incident, they rushed to the spot and tried to mollify the demonstrators.
Aman's family members doubt that this murder could be an outcome of an old rivalry.
Meanwhile, police has arrested two persons in the case.
They have been identified by Aman's family, police said.
Further investigation is on to crack the case, an official said.
