Faridkot: In a suspected case of honour killing, a man allegedly killed his sister and her ‘lover' with sharp edged weapons at Bishnandi village in the district, police said here today.

The deceased, who were reportedly in relations since past many years, had been identified as Sukhmander Singh (47) and Sukhjinder Kaur (35), police said.

Singh lived alone and worked in the postal department while Kaur was working as nurse and both were neighbours, police said.

They were allegedly killed by Rajinder yesterday and later the accused surrendered himself before the police.

A murder case has been registered against the accused, police said.
