Jodhpur (Rajasthan): The Jodhpur sessions court today framed charges against self-styled godman Asaram under sec 375, 376D, 370 of Indian Penal code, and under sections 5, 6, 7 and 9 of POCSO in the case of alleged sexual assault of a minor girl.

The court removed section 26 of Juvenile Justice Act, and added section 120.

Asaram will be on trial under sec 354, 342, 506 and 509 IPC also.

A girl student staying in Asaram's Chhindwara girls hostel has levelled allegation of sexual assault against the godman in his cottage in Jodhpur on the night of August 15.

Asaram and his associates are presently in Jodhpur jail.
