"The mother of Nido, staying in Arunachal Pradesh, was called on phone and she did not object to her son dropping the matter. Police then informed Nido's local guardian Vinod Bansal and Varun, Nido's father's friends and handed over Nido to them.

"Nido then asked his local guardians to leave and said he would go to his sister's house. CCTV footage showed him get into an autorickshaw and leave Lajpat Nagar. He was absolutely fine then".

Police have however registered a murder case but no arrests have been made so far.
