New Delhi: Delhi police and intelligence agencies are currently interrogating several arrested militants of Indian Mujahideen, and some surprising revelations have come to surface.  

Patna serial blasts accused IM militant Tehseen Akhtar alias Monu revealed that they had code words for everything which made it easy for them to communicate so that no one could suspect their activities. 



There are around 70 code words decoded and revealed to Delhi police by Tehseen Akhtar.

A police official said, terrorists use such code words to communicate on social networking sites and email. In fact even the terrorists are named with a code so that no one gets to know their original identity.

Even terrorists call each other by coded names. They have code for every weapon, act, city, agency, country etc.


They call Delhi as ‘sham', Mumbai as ‘gaon', Pune as ‘metro', Gujrat as ‘jeju' and India as ‘Ind'.

They named Pakistani's Inter Services Intelligence as ‘agency', India's National Investigating Agency as ‘NI', SIMI as ‘black beauty' and Al Qaeda as ‘vagh'.

Some of the code words might sound funny as well…. They call pistol as ‘chalu' or ‘ticket', bombs as ‘kalungi', AK-47 as ‘reservation' and detonator as ‘elaichi'.



More interesting to know are the codes with which these terrorists were called. Iqbal Bhatkal was called as ‘Bebu', Riyaz Bhatkal as ‘chata' and Yasin Bhatkal as ‘JJ' or ‘TB'.

In the same way Tehseen Akhtar was called as ‘Haas' or ‘Hajis' and Rehman as ‘Zaad'.   

All these militants are presently in  custody.
