Kendrapara (Odisha): A 70-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted in a remote village in Odisha's Kendrapara district, police said yesterday.

The accused, Geneswar Jena (29) has been arrested, police said.

The incident which occurred on March 10 in Haldiapatna village has triggered public outcry.

A police case was lodged yesterday and the accused was arrested yesterday, they said, adding that both the victim and the accused were medically examined.
