New Delhi: A 22-year-old, identified as Kanika was found dead at her in-laws' house in R K Puram area of south Delhi here, police said.

The deceased was a manager at a public sector bank and wife of senior official, Nitin Kumar, AGM of Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

According to the police, she was found hanging from the ceiling fan inside her room when her husband and his family members checked on her.

However, Kanika's parents have alleged that she was murdered by her in-laws for not fulfilling their dowry demand.

Kanika was married 2-years ago with Nitin Kumar on 26th February, 2012.

A case has been registered under IPC Act 304-B at R K Puram police station.

Police officials are interrogating her husband, a senior official in RBI, and his family to get some leads in the case.
