New Delhi: In an alleged case of horror killing, parents of a 21-year-old daughter strangulated their daughter for marrying a man from another community on Sunday. They didn't inform anyone and cremated their daughter's body. The accused duo was arrested on Tuesday.

The brutal incident took place just after five days of Bhawna Yadav, whose family hails from Rajasthan, marrying Abhishek Seth (24), a Punjabi based in Delhi.

Bhawna was a Delhi University student and Abhishek is working in Rashtrapati Bhawan.

The marriage took place at an Arya Samaj temple as Bhawna's parents were against it.  After marriage, Bhawna moved to Abhishek's house and informed her parents, Jagmohan and Savitri.

Bhawna's parents informed her in-laws that she should be sent back to her home so that they could arrange a grand wedding for the couple.

After this, Bhawna's in-laws sent her back to her parent's home.

But suddenly, on November 12, they said their reputation was at stake.  Just after she was taken back, she came back to Abhishek's home and reiterated that her parents didn't want her to stay with him and have even beaten her up.

On Nov 14, Bhawana's parents again came to Abhishek's home and took her back.

After that, the young couple spoke only once when Bhawna's maternal uncle called Abhishek and threatened to eliminate him.

A day before her death Bhawna had come online and assured her husband that her uncle was under the influence of alcohol.   

As soon as Abhishek got to know about Bhawna he informed the police.
