Eyewitnesses said the girl was without clothes when she scaled the tower. She jumped off it before anyone could intervene, a witness added.
There were signs of struggle on her body and due to the fall, her ribs were also broken and she had suffered a fracture in her left leg.
One of the doctors who conducted her post-mortem analysis said she might have been raped by multiple persons and her body had bruises apart from bite marks on her chest.
The final post-mortem report, however, is awaited.
"The vaginal swabs have been sent to the forensic lab", said a police official who is part of the investigation.
According to initial investigation, the victim, a resident of Dindori, was reportedly on her way to Indore to get a job.
The police have recovered her marksheet, ticket, security belt and clothes from the scene of the crime. They have also informed her family about the girl's death.
The victim's father told India TV taht his daughter was a B.Sc student and went to Indore at her friends place to appear in an examination.
On June 29 she left for Jabalpur from Indore alone. But no clue has been found about, how did she reach Bina, officials said.
The victim's mobile phone is missing from the crime scene.
