Agra: Six persons were today arrested after a clash broke out between people belonging to two communities over an alleged incident of teasing of women in Tajganj area of the city.

According to Tajganj police station SHO Puran Singh Mehra, a youth of a community allegedly teased some women of the other community when they were taking part in a religious programme.

When some locals confronted the youth a clash broke out, and people of both the community started pelting stones. However, the situation was brought under control by the police which arrested six persons under precautionary measures, the police officer said.

Additional police force has been deployed in the area to deal with any untoward situation, he said.
