Gillespie said at first, her family thought that a wooden chest holding their glassware had fallen over. But then they smelled smoke they got up to find a car had driven in their living room.
Everyone made it out safely, and without injury.
"There was nine people in the home. Everybody's accounted for, no injuries," said district fire chief Richard Jenkins.
Police say the driver, a 24-year-old woman, was arrested for drunk driving.
