New Delhi: A 30-year-old female domestic help was beaten to death by her employer in west Delhi.

According to police, the victim was brought to a private hospital in Hari Nagar where doctors declared her dead.

Police said that the deceased lady has been identified as Mumtaz Khatun.

Mumtaz had injury marks on her body, police added.

Initial probe, police said, has revealed that the accused woman, Puja Kapoor, had beaten her.

Additional DCO (west), Monika Bhardwaj said that a case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against Kapoor.

Kapoor is absconding, Bhardwaj added.

A neighbour told police that Kapoor often beat Begum.

Mumtaz was working at Kapoor's residence (Block-2 in Subhash Nagar) since April.
