Delhi Police ACP brutally assaulted after he tried to stop street fight

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a Delhi Police ACP Amit Singh was attacked with rods and stones for trying to stop a street fight near the Lodhi Road crematorium in South Delhi this afternoon.

Singh has been deputed in the newly formed southwest unit of the special cell of Delhi Police.

He was reportedly on his way to his office in Lodhi Colony when he spotted a biker and a car owner fighting and stopped. The fight started after an accident and a large group had reportedly gathered.

The group turned on Singh after he tried to step in and stop the fight.

 
The attackers were nabbed after senior police officers arrived at the spot.

The ACP who badly injured was to the AIIMS Trauma Center where he is said to be out of danger.
