New Delhi: Delhi Police today arrested Bahujan Samaj Party MP Dhananjay Singh, and his wife Dr Jagriti Singh, a dentist employed at the state-run Ram Manohar Lohi Hospital, on charge of murder and attempt to murder in the case of the death of Rakhi, a maid who was working at their 175, South Avenue flat in Delhi.

The maid died last evening, after undergoing inhouse treatment at the flat. Servants working with the MP alleged that the MP's wife Jagriti Singh beat the maid to death three days ago, but Jagriti says, the maid fell from the terrace.

Another servant Ramphal working in the flat was also beaten by Jagriti, the servants in the locality alleged.

The domestic helps alleged, Dr Jagriti Singh used to regularly torture the maid for the past 10 months.
