Bipin Kumar killed five girls on the intervening night of December 4 and 5. According to police, Kumar killed the girls in order to trap two villagers in a false murder case with whom he had a land dispute.
Police said, the murder was meticulously planned by Kumar as he made sure that the girls were alone at home at the time of murder.
The victims aged between 7 and 15 and Kumar's own daughters were 15 and 7. It is also believed that the murder was carried out as Kumar feared he would not be able to bear his daughters' wedding expenses.
