Ahmedabad: Self-proclaimed godman Asaram Bapu was taken to Ahmedabad civil hospital by police this evening for a potency test, but he refused to undergo test.

Police brought back Asaram from hospital without getting the potency test conducted.

Asaram had undergo potency test in Jodhpur hospital during which he was found sexually virile.

Asaram was today taken for potency test in connection with a sexual assault case lodged against him and his son Narayan Sai by two Surat-based sisters.

Asaram, 72, was brought to the city on Monday evening on a transit remand from a court in Jodhpur where he was lodged in a jail since August in another sexual assault case involving minor daughter of one of his devotees.
