Pratapgarh (UP): Two persons were shot at allegedly by some unidentified bike-borne assailants in Kunda area here, police said today.

Shiv Bahadur Singh (30) and Ramesh Tiwari (32) were shot at by unknown motorcycle-borne miscreants while they were returning home from Lalgopalganj last evening, they said.  

The duo has been taken to a local hospital from where they have been referred to Allahabad for treatment, police said adding the motive behind the murder is not yet known.

Pratapgarh lies aroung 61 kms from Allahabad and since there are no proper medication facilities in the district, the two injured boys were referred there.

The police are investigating the case. FIR has been lodged against unknown assailants.
